Over the past few seasons, we’ve seen the ethinic trend expand and develop. Today, ethnic motifs and patterns are everywhere: from clothes presented on the runways of the world to home decor and even in small accessories anyone can buy.

This is an interesting phenomenon, as it is quite curious how in today’s world people celebrate and hide their background at the same time: this is visible in the fact that most “ethnic” aesthetics we see around us are not always clearly defined. Thus, they can be described more as “rugged traditionality” than “ethnic”.

Surely, many have precise hints, but they don’t convey the content of the original piece. (for most consumers, the colors, motifs and shapes don’t have any meaning). Can this mean that we’re seeing a tradionless culture? In part yes, but many people are working on rebranding old culture too.
